Overview
Is Royal Caribbean right for you?
Royal Caribbean built its reputation on scale and innovation. Its newest Oasis- and Icon-class ships are the largest in the world, organized into distinct “neighborhoods” so a 6,000-guest ship never feels like one crowd. You’ll find a full-size waterpark, the FlowRider surf simulator, ziplines, ice-skating rinks and the tallest slide at sea alongside quieter adults-only solariums. It’s a line that turns the ship itself into the destination, which is why it’s the easiest recommendation for anyone nervous that a cruise might be boring.
Who it’s best for

Royal Caribbean FAQs
It’s arguably the best mainstream line for families. Adventure Ocean youth programs span ages 6 months to 17, and the biggest ships have waterparks, mini-golf, laser tag and teen-only spaces so every age is entertained.
For maximum “wow,” an Oasis- or Icon-class ship. If you prefer a slightly calmer first sailing at a lower price, a Freedom- or Voyager-class ship still has plenty to do. We’ll match the ship to your group before you book.
Only if you’ll drink four or more alcoholic beverages a day, or want unlimited specialty coffee, soda and premium water. We’ll do the math with you — it often isn’t worth it on port-heavy itineraries.
