Overview
Is Virgin Voyages right for you?
Virgin Voyages threw out the cruise rulebook. Every ship is adults-only, there’s no main buffet (over 20 eateries serve made-to-order food instead), and the fare already includes tips, Wi-Fi, still and sparkling water, most non-alcoholic drinks, group fitness classes and essential dining. The aesthetic is closer to a boutique hotel or a members’ club than a traditional cruise ship — think a tattoo studio, a drag brunch, a record shop and a spa with a mud room. It’s the line we recommend to people who swear they’d “never cruise.”
Who it’s best for
- Adults who want a kid-free sailing (18+)
- Couples, friend groups and solo travelers
- Design and food lovers
- Cruise skeptics who want something different

Entertainment
Immersive, festival-style entertainment rather than big-theater musicals: interactive shows, live DJs, drag brunches, wellness at sea and standout nightlife. The vibe leans experience-led.

Virgin Voyages FAQs
Yes — every sailing is 18 and over, with no exceptions. That means no kids’ clubs, quieter pools and a more grown-up atmosphere throughout the ship.
A lot: gratuities, Wi-Fi, all the eateries (including sit-down restaurants), still and sparkling water, most sodas and non-pressed juices, group fitness classes and essentials like room service. You mainly pay extra for alcohol, the spa and shore excursions.
Correct. Instead of a buffet, more than 20 included venues serve made-to-order food, plus a food-hall-style area (The Galley) that’s open most of the day. Most guests find they eat far better than on a traditional buffet ship.
